Reliance™ HCA’s Participate in Kingsville Extreme Build
September 2009
Windsor-based Home Comfort Advisors (HCA) Greg Huggard and Kenny Linwood recently participated in a four day house-building event. More than 300 volunteers put in about $200,000 worth of goods and time into the three-bedroom, 1,800 square foot house, said Amanda Smith, Kingsville's parks and recreation programs manager and one of the build organizers in a Windsor Star article. The hope is to sell the home for $325,000 and use the proceeds, an expected $150,000 or more, for Kingsville's fundraising campaign to renovate a community centre, add to the arena and relocate the downtown library. The Community Use Building Committee wants to raise $750,000 by 2011. One of Reliance’s suppliers, Rheem Canada, donated a furnace and air conditioner for the build.
