Sudbury heats up in January with Reliance Home Comfort™ as presenting sponsor at Sudbury Wolves Game

January 2009

As a long-time sponsor of the Sudbury Wolves since 1999, Reliance Home Comfort™ was pleased to serve as the team’s presenting sponsor at its January 2, 2009 Sudbury Wolves game against the Peterborough Petes.  In addition to a night of great hockey, more than 4,000 fans also enjoyed some added entertainment thanks to Reliance Home Comfort™.

A number of lucky fans enjoyed a variety of prizes including t-shirts, toques and restaurant gift certificates courtesy of Reliance Home Comfort™. As well, the three star players of the game night, Matt Dias, Chris Van Laren, and Eric O’Dell – all from the Sudbury Wolves -- were awarded Reliance™ mp4 players, recognizing their great performance. Reliance™ employee Carol Fantin her daughter", both very big fan's of the Wolves, gave out the three star prizes.

“Reliance™ is pleased to able to support our local Sudbury Wolves in this way,” says Shon Cantin, Reliance’s Sales Manager serving the Sudbury area, adding: “Reliance™ is a long-time member of Sudbury, serving the community for over 30 years. We are committed to ensuring families’ home heating and cooling needs are taken care of. With a comfortable home and peace of mind, families can fully participate in and enjoy community events like our local hockey games.”

Throughout the Sudbury Wolves game, fans also took advantage of the Reliance Home Comfort™ heating and cooling expert team on site to learn about how they can cut their personal energy costs at home. “Interaction at the both was overwhelming,” says Cantin. The van's on the ice were also a big hit. This was a really Reliance™ family event and many of our techs had their children participate with them.”

“During each period intermission, you could not move around at the both as people where asking many questions and wanted to fill out ballots for the free furnace and air conditioner draw,” he says.

Reliance™ also distributed ‘triple-win’ coupons for heating or cooling equipment to game fans to make sure they had an opportunity to receive something extra from Reliance™ even after the game. Between now and end of May, for fans who redeem their Reliance™ ‘triple-win’ coupon, Reliance™ has committed to donate $100 to the Wolves Scholarship Fund in recognition of every purchase or rental that the Sudbury fan completes with Reliance™.

Reliance™ is also partnering with two schools, Ecole St. Joseph and Ecole Ste. Therese., located in the Valley area of Sudbury. As part of this partnership, both schools receive four pairs of Sudbury Wolves season tickets that the school uses to reward academic achievement for selected individuals. For each game, the school selects two students to receive Sudbury Wolves tickets for the student and their parent to atttend a local game.

Reliance™ is offering any family in the school community that purchases a Heating or Cooling system from Reliance™ before June 1, 2009, a $100 discount on the equipment. Reliance™ will also provide $100 to the school to support an identified need (ie to purchase athletic equipment, library materials etc).
