​Home Builder Associations recognize Reliance™ as Supplier of the Year

Our goal is to help builders reduce their costs, improve their customer service and help them grow their business.

Reliance™ recently achieved some significant recognition in today’s competitive builder market environment worth celebrating:

• Key Account Manager Carla Agostino accepted the Outstanding Supplier/Manufacturer Award on April 17 on behalf of Reliance Home Comfort™ at the Hamilton-Halton Home Builders Association’s (HHHBA) 2009 Awards of Excellence ceremony.

• On April 17, Key Account Manager Jennifer Hurd accepted the Outstanding Supplier/Manufacturer Award on behalf of Reliance Home Comfort™ at the Durham Region Home Builders’ Association’s 2009 Awards of Excellence ceremony.

Both Carla and Jennifer have previously received Reliance’s President’s Sales award and both serve on their local Home Builders Association Board of Directors. Jennifer won ‘Rookie of Year’ following her first year on the Durham Home Builders Association Board of Directors in 2008. In 2005 and in 2007, Carla received the Association’s President’s Award of Merit. These awards are presented in recognition for the dedication, time and professional services rendered to the association.

It was a home builder that nominated Reliance™ for this year’s HHHBA Supplier of the Year Award. According to the nomination, reasons cited to support Reliance’s receipt of this honour included the following:

• Reliance™ has dedicated itself to bringing the products and services that will help builders and homeowners achieve a better quality home. The company is innovative and has continuously brought new energy efficient solutions to the market place, such as their new solar water heating system, tankless water heaters, and bundled furnaces and air conditioners. They offer an expanded team of service representatives, from multi-unit construction to energy conservation and green programs, such as Energy Star for new homes, LEED Canada Green building rating system and Green Home Certified Construction. Reliance™ has addressed the issues that affect our developers and builders in a changing and declining market, and the demands of building a more energy efficient and green home.

Just a few months ago, Reliance™ was recognized as Supplier of the Year at the Building Industry and Land Development Association’s (BILD) annual general meeting held December 3 in Toronto. BILD created its Associate Awards program in 2004 to celebrate effective working relationships between developers, builders and professional renovators and their many suppliers, trades and service or professional firms. The final results for the Supplier of the Year award were determined based on a builder survey of the supplier, trade or professional nominee. Builders who participate in the survey described Reliance Home Comfort™ as a company that “caters to their clients and communicates with them, they are great people to deal with and very helpful and cooperative.”

At the time, BILD Chief Executive Officer Stephen Dupuis said that the common factors shared by award winners that stand out included professionalism, teamwork, reliability and of course, quality and service. These traits are consistent with Reliance’s values and it is very pleasing to see the recognition Reliance™ is receiving from our customers.
